'accelerating Airy lump, quoted before', 2020.
 Firework residue, washing line, 5.3 x 12.2 x 25.4 cm.

I noticed this lump when hanging the washing out a few mornings ago-  it could be residue from fireworks that my neighbour set off the night before. Somehow, it had attached itself to the line, presenting itself to me ~

The idea of unmaking, of undoing, has become key to my practice -
this lump takes this further, into a sphere of 'non-making' which I suppose is
essentially documentary? & yet, the 'making' of an image is a process in and of itself - albeit, even if that image was taken digitally.

Regardless, simply noticing this lump was a breath of fresh air

'its irregular mass blotted, and extended, thinned and thickened ... the lump slipped'
