'accelerating Airy lump, quoted before', 2020.
Firework residue, washing line, 5.3 x 12.2 x 25.4 cm.
I noticed this lump when hanging the washing out a few mornings ago- it could be residue from fireworks that my neighbour set off the night before. Somehow, it had attached itself to the line, presenting itself to me ~
The idea of unmaking, of undoing, has become key to my practice -
this lump takes this further, into a sphere of 'non-making' which I suppose is essentially documentary? & yet, the 'making' of an image is a process in and of itself - albeit, even if that image was taken digitally.
Regardless, simply noticing this lump was a breath of fresh air
